Welcome to Kindergarten

My name is Mrs. Haglin and I am thrilled to be teaching your child this year. We are going to have so much fun learning about reading, writing, math, and making new friends! Our theme this year is "Patchwork Pals". Every child in our class is important, just like every square in a quilt. We would not be the same class without every single student!

I have been working at Maple Lake Elementary School for the last 10 years. I am eager to return to Kindergarten after many years of teaching third grade. Imagination, creativity, and academic growth are components of the exciting Kindergarten world. Many times the process is as important as the product - learning is accomplished by doing, touching, and experiencing.

I greatly value our partnership as your child embarks on this important milestone. Your child's success will be based on our cooperative relationship. Your involvement, interest, and enthusiasm will help make this a wonderful year of growth for you and your child.

Don’t forget to stop by school on August 28! I will have a very fun activity for you to do that will help you get to know all of the exciting things in our Patchwork Pals classroom. This is also a great time for you to bring your school supplies. Please make sure to label your 3-ring binder and folders with your name, along with your snack container and lid.

I am so excited to meet you and I can't wait for our first day of Kindergarten!

Getting Ready

July is almost over and our classroom is still a mess!  I am here at school getting things ready for when you arrive.  Have a great August!
